There are many different lifts of many different sizes, and the last thing you want is to invest money in a lift that is not compatible with your scooter. Sometimes people forget how big of an investment this is, so we will remind you that it is not something you want to rush.

Keep in mind that not all lifts will actually allow you to ride the chair into the vehicle. Some of them might be offset by the weight limit, and some simply might not be built that way. Once again it is important for you to choose a lift that meets your needs, and if that means spending a bit more money than you planned then so be it.

If they do, then they might be able to work out a deal with your insurance company. In most cases your insurance carrier will pick up some of the cost and have you pay the rest. This is better than nothing, even if it wasn't the answer you were looking for.
